
Wang Xiaozan is a Professor and Dean of the College of Physical Education and Health at East China Normal University.
She serves as a member of the 8th Physical Education Discipline Appraisal Group under the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and is recognized as a National Leading Talent in Teaching under the Ten Thousand Talents Program.
She holds numerous academic and professional appointments. She is the Founding Secretary-General of the World Physical Education Alliance (WPEA) and President of the International Chinese Society of Physical Activities and Health (ICSPAH). She has also played a key role as a core member in the development and revision of the National Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standards for Basic Education (Ministry of Education). In addition, she serves as Vice Chair of the Physical Education and Health Branch of the Chinese Society of Education; member and Secretary of the Theoretical Group of the National Steering Committee for Physical Education in Higher Education (Ministry of Education); member and Secretary-General of the National Steering Committee for Health Education in Higher Education (Ministry of Education); member of the National Steering Committee for Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Schools (Ministry of Education); and Vice Chair of the Early Childhood Physical Education Branch of the China Sports School Federation. Overall, she holds more than 40 academic and professional roles at national and international levels.
