Professor Clive Palmer is the Postgraduate Research (PGR) Doctoral Education Lead at the University of Central Lancashire’s Graduate Research School, seconded from the School of Health, Social Work and Sport. He is a National Teaching Fellow (2019), a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA), and a UK Council for Graduate Education (UKCGE) Recognized Research Supervisor.
Professor Palmer serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Qualitative Research in Sports Studies and editor of The Sporting Image series. He also acts as School Research Coordinator for the School of Sport, Tourism and the Outdoors, where he supports strategic research development. In addition to supervising MA and PhD students, he contributes widely as an External Examiner for postgraduate research programs across the UK.
