Prof. Dr. Kasper Salin is an Associate Professor at the University of Jyvaskyla, recognized for his significant research in sports and physical education. He contributes to the Cardiovascular Risk in Young Finns Study, examining how childhood lifestyle, biological, and psychological factors influence adult cardiovascular health. He has led major initiatives, including the European Commission project Monitoring Physical Fitness to Enhance Development in Children and Adolescents and the Finnish Ministry of Education and culture project on the intergenerational transmission of physical activity.
